have we lost all our moral values?

Have we lost all our moral values? This is the question we should ask ourselves when we are busy in the worldly dealings. We get so lost in our day to day routine that we cross our limit of inhumanity and are so oblivious to it. Due to our ignorance a lot of white collared people suffer. Either at home or at work, in some way or the other, people you work or live with end up suffering a great deal of pressure, be it psychological or physical.
These days men and women have stooped so low in order to gain profit. They will hurt anyone to facilitate not only their needs but also their luxuries. On political level or on a level lower than that, people bribe the officials with the intention of getting their work approved.
These days here in Pakistan, when you are stopped by the traffic police sergeant all you need to do is show him a note of 500 rupees and you are off the hook. This is how easy it is to get your way around these police officials.
Even the murderers and the rapists can be freed in exchange of a heavy amount of money. Now you tell me, how safe this world is for people who have already suffered from such horrific criminals?
Normally you feel safe when you see a police man standing near you as it is his job and duty to protect all and sundry but here in our dear land we usually avoid being anywhere close to a police man as he can not be trusted.
Lying, deceit, dishonesty, trickery and fraud are few of the deeds that we proudly do.
We should be ashamed of ourselves.

facebooking - favourite past time

Facebook is a social networking website that helps you to connect with your school mates, college fellows and coworkers. It has made the world come so close, with just a few clicks you can see the activities of people living thousands of miles away from you.

Facebook is my favorite past time. It keeps me connected with my friends. It has never failed to surprise me. Whenever I see a name familiar to me, from when I went to school, I get all excited. It’s amazing how you get to know everything about your old friends in such a short space of time.

Hats off to the Facebook team for doing a great job at uniting friends and family.
Three cheers for Facebook.

cold and flu

Hi readers,

I have been down with the worst kind of cold there is. With runny nose and runny eyes, itchy nose and itchy eyes I’ve been going crazy, my head is swiveling. If you know what I mean.

My darling Fatty has been eating ice cubes for the past four nights and now she’s down with it as well. I had given her medicine and at this moment, after four attempts of pushing spoon in her mouth with all my power, she’s asleep. Giving kids their medication is so hard. Fatty fights her medicine from going in she usually throws up or gets it down her air pipe and then she can’t breathe and turns blue in the face…

Anyways it’s so hot these days, temperatures have risen to 45 degrees Celsius here in Karachi, so we are getting viruses due to that.

I’ll get back to you all as soon as I am able to see my laptop screen clearly. Right now I am all teary and stuffy nosed. I can hardly think of any suitable words. I am blabbering away…

my super girl

Fatty wanted to wear her swimsuit when it was 2 or 3 degree celsius outside.

my super girl - her daddy bought her a bib and she was unwilling to take off and insisted on becoming what she thought was a birdie when she saw superman with her dad.

shopping lists

Some people think that shopping lists are an essential piece of paper while going to the shopping mall. I think that they are merely a distraction. Whenever I’ve made a list I’ve never bought the things according to it. My trolley ends up with the things I would, most probably, not need for, at least, the next 4 weeks.

Lists, in my opinion, are hardly helpful. I, for one, get so confused the minute I step in a grocery store. Things start to float in the air in front of my eyes and I end up buying things that come my way.

I usually forget to carry along my shopping list and then I roam around the store from aisle to aisle in search of things that I was set out to buy. And my husband sits in the car, babysitting Fatima a.k.a. Fatty (my baby girl), while she gets all cranky, he gets all mad, and starts to honk his horn in order to express his anger towards me. As I am busy searching for things in the aisles and taking all the time in the world to buy just a little stuff.

If I’ve gone to buy a face wash for myself I end up buying a baby shampoo and body wash for Fatty, deodorant for my husband and few sweets and candies for my darling baby, which sends the check, at the cash register, rocketing to the sky.

If I go to buy clothes for Fatty I end up spending way more than I intend to. I love buying clothes for her and she loves wearing and choosing among them. That big grin I receive the minute she sees her stuff is worth it all.

I am not much of a shopper but I do takeout time to go shopping as it gives me the idea of latest things available in the market. This keeps me updated with the world developing so fast that you miss track after you have kids.

air conditioners(AC) - the best thing ever

Air conditioners, most commonly known as an AC, are the greatest things ever produced in this day and age. The temperatures are raising so quickly I mean it’s just the end of April and the temperatures have already raised to 42 point something degree Celsius.

It’s impossible to sleep without an AC these days and even at nights it has to be turned on. My two-year-old has gotten so used to the light rumbling of one that if I at some point during the night turn off the AC she wakes up and asks me to turn it back on.

Right this minute as I am typing away on my laptop my room AC is rambling on.
The temperatures all over the world have been disturbed and a lot has been done by the environmentalists, but it is us who has to be responsible for our environment. It is not a duty of any one conservationist to go green.
I know turning AC on is not exactly going green but I do try my best to do what I can to keep my surroundings clean.

hypocrites

Hi all! I went to a gathering today, there were a lot of women and what I saw among all those beautifully dressed and gracefully decked up ladies were two-faced people. Hypocrisy! They were constantly being sweet to the hostess and gave outrageous remarks behind her back. I hate such people. One thing I don’t understand is why people need to pretend to be good friends where as, in actual, they are jealous of you.

Sincerity makes the very least person to be of more value than the most talented hypocrite.
Charles Spurgeon

How can you be two-faced person, it’s beyond me. From where do people learn such politics? They are eating with you, laughing with you and they even try to help you out through your bad times but still their hearts are filled with resentment and deceit. They are trying to win your heart but at some point they will show their true color.

The only thing worse than a liar is a liar that's also a hypocrite!
Tennessee Williams
The problem is that we can not recognize such people. There is no punishment for being a hypocrite. No one can be aware of such frauds until they are forced to be in acquaintance with such people.

The only vice that cannot be forgiven is hypocrisy. The repentance of a
hypocrite is itself hypocrisy.
William Hazlitt
